This EcoBrite SMD, GU10 LED bulb is a great performing and good looking GU10 LED bulb. It offers excellent perfomance and value whilst still built to the same high quality as our other LED products.

Consisting of 3 'EPILED' Surface Mount Diodes (SMD's) this GU10 bulb will produce a light output equal to a 30 watt halogen bulb but only consumes 3 watts of electricity.

With no LED driver / transformer required, this GU10 LED bulb is easily retrofitted into your existing light fitting.

This bulb offers a beam angle of 45 degrees and is available in Warm White, Natural White and Cool White.

This product is dimmable.

These bulbs will save you their initial purchase cost within an incredible six months, and you will continue to save this amount of money every six months over the expected life of the bulb.

Dimmable GU10 LED bulbs are only compatible with certain dimmers. Incompatibility would be shown by flickering of the LED bulb or by a buzzing noise coming from the LED bulb and/or dimmer. If your dimmer is incompatible, please use an LED compatible dimmer such as the Varilight V-Pro range.(Your electrician can discuss this with you).

Swapping your existing bulbs to LED lights will not only save you money on electricity costs but will also save you the cost and inconvenience of having to regularly replace blown bulbs!

Example of LED lamp energy savings

Lamp colour ( Kelvins )

The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum. Getting the right colour temperature of a lamp does matter as the warm colour wavelength helps to soften the tone of the area and gives a warm soft relaxed feel and ideal for colourful flower beds and rockery areas especially with wooden bark and at the other end of the scale a 4,000 to 5,000 kelvin lamp colour would be used against a light background such as white walls or to accentuate grey blueish foliage in shrubs and small trees.  When you buy a new, energy efficient bulb, keep your application and colour scheme in mind and make sure to buy the bulb with a colour temperature to match. Coloured filters are good to use with the LED bulbs too especially in winter using green filters give the appearance the trees are still in leaf.
