Our products utilise integral chips from LED manufacturer CREE, with ‘BIN’ number 8B4. This ‘BIN’
number is a great advantage for professional designers as it gives them confidence is specifying a
particular range of products with complete colour consistency, and eliminates the visible shift in
colour which can be noticeable with poorer quality products placed in close pro
proximity to one
Our high quality integral LED's have an extremely long life expectancy. At the end of the LED's life, or in the unlikely
event of a premature failure, the LED can be factory replaced for a small fee if out of guarantee.
All recessed luminaires must have adequate drainage beneath each fitting to allow water to disperse, especially in clay based
All cable joints must be 100% watertight and there are a number or waterproof transformer boxes and heat shrink cable
joint kits on our
web site to choose from.
We would advise that all connections and transformers be kept above ground where possible as the weakest link in any
garden electrical installation is joining cables together. Magic Gel should be used in the termination boxes to reduce
the risk of water ingress.
Please ensure that your electrician is NIC EIC certified and has done exterior lighting installations before and conforms
to Part P certification.
Care should be taken for the environment and local wildlife to maintain the ecological balance. Insects, bats, wildlife can
all be effected by light pollution. The warmer colour spectrum of ( 2,700 Kelvins ) does not interfere with
insects and general wildlife as much as the blue colour spectrum of light around 6,000 kelvins which can disrupt their
normal night time activity. This also applies to bats where a anti glare light fittings works better as well as reducing
the overall light pollution in the area. You must also be mindful of your neighbours and the effect your lighting can
have on them and shining a 500w tungsten halogen flood light in to their windows at night will cause them distress. Try
to keep the light in a downward position and local to the items you want to illuminate and even if you want to illuminate
tall trees it can be done in a sympathetic way by placing a ground buried or surface spike flood light directly under
the trees to illuminate the canopy. Some light fittings also have a anti glare shield fitted to reduce light pollution.
