Domo, path spreadlight, satin chrome plated copper, 12v, IP56
( REQUIRES TRANSFORMER )
Elipta Domo spreadlights provide a soft pool of light for lighting paths or steps and around terrace, decking, drive and lawn. Brushed chrome finish is an alternative to copper spreadlights for more modern garden settings. These 12v spreadlights hide the light source under the shade for low glare lighting. A 20w halogen capsule lamp is the usual lamp choice: a 35w lamp may be fitted for brighter lighting or a replaceable l.e.d. (light emitting diode) module may be used as a low-energy alternative. A frosted glass dome protects the lamp from irrigation spray, reduces lamp glare to improve visual comfort in sloping sites and diffuses the lighting effect. The shade is painted white underneath to maximise light spread. The shade and dome assembly is easily removed and replaced with a screw action, so tools are not required for changing the lamp. Elipta spreadlights are supplied as standard with black polycarbonate ground spike, which can be changed to the optional chromed brass ground spike or deck mount if preferred.

G4 20w (CAP20) or 35w (CAP35) 12v tungsten halogen capsule lamp or l.e.d. module. Order lamp separately to suit application. 20W lamp is recommended for most applications: a 3w led module provides almost equivalent coverage at a power consumption of 5 watts. 10w halogen lamp or 1w l.e.d. module may be used for low power "waymarking" of a path where guidance rather than illumination is preferred.
Connect fitted 60cm cable to low voltage supply cable by crimped heat shrink joint - order cable joint kit T9962 separately. Connect into a cable run supplying several fittings with a T9963 cable splice kit, which is also used for all connections where 4mm cable is used for longer cable runs. All joints must be made 100% water tight and we recommend using Magic Gel in the enclosure boxes. Where possible try to keep all joint and transformers above ground.
