Groundlighter is a 12v AR111 recessed light designed for uplighting smaller trees or statues and other features in waterlogged lawns and other wet locations. It is available with a plain rim and flush lens which sheds water and leaf litter for reduced maintenance, or with a protective grill for use in walkover areas to protect against a hot lens. Robust cast-brass construction is corrosion-resistant for use in all soil types. The advantage of a AR111 lamp is it's controlled beam angle and wide reflector. Lamps with a tight 8 degree beam angle can be used to create a pencil beam of light up a column or building facade or to illuminate tall thin trees.

All recessed luminaires must have adequate drainage beneath each fitting to allow water to disperse, especially in clay based soil beds. All cable joint must be 100% watertight and there a number or waterproof transformer boxes and heat shrink cable joint kits on our web site to choose from. We would advise that all connections and transformer be kept above ground where possible as the weakest link in any exterior garden electrical installation is joining cables together.
Please ensure that your electrician is NIC EIC certified and has done exterior lighting installations before. Also ensure that all rubber gaskets are clean and dry before screwing down the front glass and bezel for a water tight seal.
