Modula, adjustable, ground up light, round, textured brass, 240v GU10, IP67
E8762N is a stylish 240v recessed up light with a choice of 240v GU10 halogen, long-life
energy-saving compact fluorescent and 3w or 5w led lamps; 50,000 life and low energy
consumption make these a popular option. led and fluorescent lamps also result in
a much lower lens temperature, which is important in walkover areas. Modula is fitted
with a flush lens as standard. The light is located by an O ring on the body into
a sleeve tube. To facilitate removal of screws for future re lamping or other maintenance,
apply copper grease to the threads of all screws being fitted for retention of bezels,
grills or other top plates or retaining rings. Copper grease resists degradation
due to heat and protects against difficulty in removing screws, particularly where
stainless steel screws are fitted with aluminium parts. It may also be used on screw
threads of screw-off bezels or glare shields. Ensure surplus is cleaned off with a solvent to prevent staining in use.
Energy efficient lamps
Choosing the right lamp is a combination of 3 main factors, Lumen's, Kelvins and
efficiency. There are other factors but not so relevant for exterior lighting products.
Efficiency matters because you want the maximum light out put possible ( Lumen's )
from the minimum amounts of watts consumed. The latest LED technology and compact
fluorescent lamps are amongst the most efficient you can buy today. An example would
be to change a mains halogen GU10 35w lamp to a ECO friendly GU10 5w LED lamp. The
same be done by changing the older GLS light bulb for a compact fluorescent lamp.
Reduced energy bills with no loss of light output helps the environment and reduce
your energy bills.

All recessed luminaries must have adequate drainage beneath each fitting to allow
water to disperse, especially in clay based soil beds. All cable joint must be 100%
watertight and there a number or waterproof transformer boxes and heat shrink cable
joint kits on our web site to choose from. We would advise that all connections and
transformer be kept above ground where possible as the weakest link in any exterior
garden electrical installation is joining cables together.
Please ensure that your electrician is NIC EIC certified and has done exterior lighting
installations before.
