Contrary to the common misconception, cyber attackers don’t just attack banks and large companies. They target any organisation
which isn’t properly protected. Cyber Essentials is a framework that sets out how to
address the basics and prevent the most common attacks. The scheme is designed by government to make it easy for businesses
to protect themselves. By deploying these controls, organisations can defend against the most common form of basic cyber-attacks
originating from the Internet.
Cyber Essentials provides a clear statement of the basic controls all organisations should implement to mitigate the risk
from common internet-based threats, within the context of the Government’s 10 Steps to Cyber Security. Secondly, through
the Assurance Framework it offers a mechanism for organisations to demonstrate to customers, investors, insurers and others
that they have taken these essential precautions.
We have undertaken these steps and are now fully compliant.
