The ‘LEDifice’ is a professional and robust commercial illuminated bollard. It has a specially designed taller head in order to accommodate high output LED bulbs. The LEDifice is perfect for installations that need a high level of light. Ideal as amenity bollard lighting for larger, commercial or public areas such as car parks or buildings. Lumena include a replaceable 20W LED Corn Bulb for optimum brightness. 5 year warranty.

Importantly, the inbuilt photocell dusk to dawn sensor automatically turns the bollard light on when it detects dark, and off again when  light. There is no need to remember to switch the fitting on and off manually. This means less product maintenance. The E27 / ES bulb holder accommodates almost any LED bulb. Using LEDs is a very effective way to reduce energy bills.

The head and 2.5mm thick extruded cylinder of the bollard are heavy duty die-cast aluminium. All screws are stainless steel, resulting in a completely rustproof and non-corrosive model.

A matte garden green or graphite black finish is available as well as a choice of height (400mm, 600mm, 800mm or 1000mm). Ideal for driveways and paths, there are also 3 styles of head: ‘domed’, ‘pillar’ or ‘flat’ top.

Each bollard is supplied complete with a removable internal mounting base as standard, which can be attached to 4 x expanding anchor bolts supplied with this fitting,  or you can purchase root mounting J-Bolts to go into wet concrete. Alternatively, a Professional Root Mounting System is available consisting of a longer tube that mounts 400mm in to the ground.

NOTE: The overall bollard height may be up to 7cm taller than the standard height due to the larger bollard head. This may vary depending on which tubular body is installed.


Bollard types and spacing


Bollard lights are available in a variety of styles, finish and lamp options. You need to think about how the light will be used for example a small garden pathway, the main driveway or to illuminate steps etc.  If you are within 20 km of the coast you should think about using the Wooden, Copper, Iron, Brass or Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel. Some bollards have built in LED modules which generally offer lower levels of light (lumens) than a standard LED GU10 lamp. Also, it is likely the LED module is a sealed unit and an integral part of the bollard which cannot be replaced if it fails meaning you will have to purchase a complete new bollard. There are bollards that use GU10 LED lamps and E27 base LED lamps. The spacing of bollards will depend on the type of bollard, louvre design, height and lamp output etc but a general rule of thumb would be no less than 3 meters and no more than 12 meters apart. The shorter distance would be for garden pathways and the longer distance for long driveways.

Lamp colour ( Kelvins )

 

The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS incandescent bulb in the home would be 2,700 kelvins which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum.
