Adjust 265 - 240v Metal Halide 304 Stainless Steel Bezel & Aluminium Body IP67 Recessed Light - Uses 70w CDMT Lamps

The adjust 265 is a mains 240v Metal Halide recessed fitting. A very strong maximum 5 ton load can be put on the fitting and make it ideal as a drive over luminaire. The bezel is 304 Stainless steel. The overall depth required is only 220mm, ideal for where space is at a premium. It has 15 Degree of tilt available to ensure the light falls where you need it most.

The wattage for this fitting is 70w and it uses G12 70w Metal Halide lamps which come in a choice of warm white or cool white.
Metal Halide lamps get hot to touch so please be aware if you put your hand over the top of the fitting.

These fittings use control gear inside the fitting to strike up the Metal Halide lamp when switched on.

The fitting is symmetrical which means the lamp is set to the centre of the light fitting and throws the light  directly at the object for illumination. Ideal at a base of a tree to illuminate the canopy or to illuminate a fa├žade of a building.

 Installation advice

You will need to provide 300mm depth of shingle drainage below the up-light:  do not use in waterlogged ground.

 Installation 220 – 240v

Choosing the style of a product is only part of the equation you must also think of where that product will be used and how it will be installed. All exterior lighting products on our web site have an IP rating appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as the installation. The weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% watertight and this can be done using IP68 cable connectors and/or waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a re-enterable liquid gel mix. All joints where possible should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried lights adequate drainage systems should be put in place especially in clay-based soil areas. If possible, use ground surface spike lights rather than a buried light.  Mains 240v cable will have less joints than a low voltage installation but care must be taken with the cable runs. Cabling should be Rubber Butyl and not PVC. PVC leads to capillary action over time especially with UV degradation.

All exterior lights must be installed by a certified NIC EIC electrician and should be signed off by an electrician with Part P certification. There are a selection of waterproof jointing kits and boxes available on this web site.

Using a single RCD for large numbers of 240v fittings is not recommended due to the risk of nuisance tripping. We advise the use of separate RCD protection for each circuit and a maximum of 12 fittings per RCD. Always put outdoor lighting on it's own RCD. Where a garden lighting installation of more than 12 spike mount or recessed lights per circuit is proposed, we suggest the installation of 12v units with transformers, which results in a significantly higher fault tolerance and reliability in the total installation.
