Adjust round, 12v AR111, ground recessed, 316 stainless steel cover, IP67, 20 degree
tilt, 90 degree rotation 1.5 ton load
( INTEGRAL TRANSFORMER )
(This fitting comes complete with its own integral 12v low voltage transformer )
The advantage of a AR111 lamp is it's controlled beam angle and wide reflector.
Lamps with a small 24 degree beam angle can be used to create a narrow beam of light
up a column or building façade or to illuminate tall thin trees. You also have 20
degree of tilt for the lamp and 90 degree rotation to be aimed where needed.
All recessed luminaires must have adequate drainage beneath each fitting to allow
water to disperse, especially in clay based soil beds. All cable joint must be 100%
watertight and there a number or waterproof transformer boxes and heat shrink cable
joint kits on our web site to choose from. We would advise that all connections and
transformer be kept above ground where possible as the weakest link in any exterior
garden electrical installation is joining cables together.
Please ensure that your electrician is NIC EIC certified and has done exterior lighting
installations before. Also ensure that all rubber gaskets are clean and dry before
screwing down the front glass and bezel for a water tight seal.
Including a built-in Toroidal transformer
Maximum load: 1,5 ton
MAX 50w lamp
All exterior lighting products on our website have an IP rating which is explained further in our design ideas section but
in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore fit
for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as the installation
as the weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% water tight and this can be done using IP68
inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a resin or gel mix. All joints where possible
should be made above ground for easy access and reduced water ingress. When installing ground buried lights adequate
drainage systems should be put in place especially
in clay based soil areas. Also mains cable should be SWA rubber and not PVC.
All exterior lights must be installed by a certified NIC EIC electrician and should be signed off by an electrician with
Part P certification. All cable joints must be 100% watertight. There are a selection of waterproof jointing kits and
boxes available on this web site.
HO7RN-F or H05RN-F 3 Core Rubber Sheathed Mains Cable 1.5mm is
recommended but do not use PVC flex cable as this can cause poor connections
for the cable glands/joints and will lead to capillary action.
