Set of 4 solar spike lights with solar panel and remote control. Warm white 100 lumens brightness per spike light

Our latest addition to our solar lighting range are these set of 4 high quality spike lights in a kit.  The kit comprises of a 6v 4.8w solar panel which is 270mm in height x 140mm width x 70mm depth plus the spike which is 160mm.  Each spike fitting has the 160mm spike and including the bracket and fitting is 80mm in height. the kit includes a remote control keypad which can operate up to 20 metres away.

They are made of ABS PVC and aluminium alloy.

Ideal for decorative courtyards, border plant areas, pathways and to illuminate garden features including trees.

The solar panel has an on off switch and a USB port enabling you to connect a 5v 2a Multi-function Replacement Power Supply USB power lead to mains power so it can be charged remotely should the weather be exceptionally bad over a prolonged period.  The one we tested it with was the Aukru Universal 5v 2a Multi-function Replacement Power Supply.  They retail at around £9.99 on Amazon. We do not supply the USB power supply. The solar panel can be spike or wall mounted.

Each spike light has a 1w LED module and each fitting should give out 100 lumens. The colour temperature is a warm white 2700k to 3200k.

Each fitting has a 3m cable which connects to the solar panel.

The remote control enables you to set the lights at 100% brightness or 75% or 50% brightness.  Naturally the less light they give the longer they will last each evening.

They also have 6 different time options, 3 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours.  Once this option is selected they should do the same each time they come on each day until you change the setting.

Each kit consists of 1 x solar panel, 4 x spotlights, 5 x spikes, 1 x remote controller, 1 x bag of screws, 1 x instruction manual.

They are IP65 rated so suitable against jets of water.

The battery is  6000mAh lithium battery and with a 2 year warranty.

Lamp colour ( Kelvins )

The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum. Getting the right colour temperature of a lamp does matter as the warm colour wavelength helps to soften the tone of the area and gives a warm soft relaxed feel and ideal for colourful flower beds and rockery areas especially with wooden bark and at the other end of the scale a 4,000 to 5,000 kelvin lamp colour would be used against a light background such as white walls or to accentuate grey blueish foliage in shrubs and small trees.  When you buy a new, energy efficient bulb, keep your application and colour scheme in mind and make sure to buy the bulb with a colour                    temperature to match.
