The Spoodi 13 - PIR LED Sensor light is a powerful flood/security light ideal for illuminating large areas and for security purposes. It comes with a swivel mount bracket and Remote Control Unit. You can also add a surface extended 50cm or 80cm wall bracket or plastic spike mount

The sealed 11w warm white 3000k LED module can only be changed by the manufacturer or an authorised service engineer.

The detection angle is up to 110 degrees and should cover a detection area of 8m.

The fitting has a day/night mode and adjustable activation time. It comes from Germany and will be fitted with a 2 pin mains plug which can be removed by the electrician during installation and hard wired. .

The Spoodi comes in a choice of two powder coated finishes Black or Grey, a choice of two colour temperatures 3000k warm white or 4000k cool whit and either 11w or 30w. So plenty of choice to suit your security lighting needs.

Lamp colour ( Kelvins )

The colour of a lamp is defined as a measurement called kelvins. A standard GLS light bulb in your house would be 2,700 kelvins which is in the warm colour spectrum and a lamp with 5,000 kelvins would be at the very cold white spectrum. Getting the right colour temperature of a lamp does matter as the warm colour wavelength helps to soften the tone of the area and gives a warm soft relaxed feel and ideal for colourful flower beds and rockery areas especially with wooden bark and at the other end of the scale a 4,000 to 5,000 kelvin lamp colour would be used against a light background such as white walls or to accentuate grey blueish foliage in shrubs and small trees. When you buy a new, energy efficient bulb, keep your application and colour scheme in mind and make sure to buy the bulb with a colour temperature to match.

Please read the Installation steps completely before installation. Install the luminaire as shown in the information and diagram supplied.

The sensor has a variety of options and has a manual override too. It can be set to PIR mode which can be activated from 15 seconds to a maximum of 20 minutes. Can be in day mode which means the detector is activated permanently. Has a dusk mode which means for the PIR sensor it will work once the lux levels are lower than < 65 Lux. You can set the distance to near distance detection to capture movement within 3 - 4 metres or far distance wtihin 8 - 9 metres.

All exterior lighting products on our website have an IP rating which is explained further in our Technical Help/Products section but in simple terms the IP rating is appropriate to each light fitting and its intended application and is therefore fit for purpose. Water ingress is the enemy for outdoor lighting and the products supplied are only as good as the installation as the weakest point is always cable joints. All joints must be made 100% water tight and this can be done using IP68 inline connectors, waterproof junction boxes which are then filled with a resin or gel mix.

All exterior lights must be installed by a certified NIC EIC electrician and should be signed off by an electrician with Part P certification. all cable joints must be 100% watertight. There are a selection of waterproof jointing kits and boxes available on this web site.

H07RN-F H07 3 Core Rubber Sheathed Mains Cable 1.5mm is recommended but do not use PVC flex cable as this can cause poor connections for the cable glands/joints and will lead to capillary action.
