Outdoor Path Lights

Floodlights are often used as pathway lights, but they also work well as accent lights. They provide a soft glow and cast shadows that make them ideal for pathways. Spotlights are another option for pathway lighting. These lights shine directly down onto the path, creating a bright spotlight effect. Motion sensors are an excellent choice for outdoor lighting because they automatically turn on when people approach the area. Timers are helpful for turning lights on and off at certain times during the day.
Path Lighting is a great way to create a safe environment in your garden. The lights are easy to install and maintain, and provide excellent visibility at night. They are also a low maintenance solution that will add beauty and style to any landscape. You can choose from a variety of styles and colours to match your home and garden.
Adding outdoor lighting along paths and walkways can help to extenuate the edges of the path, but also illuminate any flowers and shrubs that are planted next to them.

The ideal light fitting for this is the spread light or low level bollard which is designed to push the light downward and reduce glare. Some plants do not like constant light at night, so be sure to check you don't unknowingly damage any plants. Your main driveway is an ideal place to use specially designed marker drive-over lights which show a direct route to the house entrance and can be used in conjunction with bollard lights for extra security and effect.

Landscape Lighting

There are many different types of landscape lighting available. Pathway lighting is one of the most popular choices. It provides a soft glow and casts shadows that make it perfect for pathways. Spotlight lighting shines directly down onto the pathway, creating a bright spot light effect. Motion sensors are another good option for outdoor lighting because they will automatically turn on when people walk by. Timers are helpful because they allow you to set up automatic lighting schedules.  The bulk of lights we sell are Garden Spike Lights and the beauty of this style of light is that they come in a number of finishes to blend in with your garden and they can be moved around the soil to light whatever you're growing in your garden or want to feature. You can use coloured filters or coloured LED lamps to provide a unique shade to a particular area. Some of the spike lights have glare shields so you can direct the light where you want it and this will reduce any sideways light spillage.

Security Lighting

If you need more security lighting than just a few motion sensors, consider installing floodlights. Floodlights provide a wide area of coverage and cast a strong beam of light. They also come with timers so you can set them to turn on at certain times during the day.

The most effective use of light is where the most vulnerable parts of your outdoor space is for example such as front doors, garages and windows, therefore placing security lighting near entrances will help prevent break-ins and alert you of any unwanted intruders. Burglars don't like to be seen especially if you also have CCTV cameras nearby the lighting too. The wider the radius of light the more space is protected therefore recessed soffit lights are ideal for porch ways and soffits especially above garage doors and will pour a wash of light downwards. Not only providing illumination but giving the impression that the property is occupied even when it isn't.
